Hello!
I'm Andrea
A Registered Nutritional Therapist helping women to live their healthiest lives through sensible food choices, daily movement and stress reduction techniques.
Why nutritional therapy?
Having felt the healing power of food first hand whilst suffering from fatigue and adrenal issues, I decided that I wanted to be able to help and support others on their own journeys to wellness - whatever that means for them. And so began four years of study which culminated in graduating with a diploma in Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy from the College of Naturopathic Medicine.
I now provide help and support to clients with a variety of health concerns including fatigue and energy issues, cancer, digestive problems, pain and inflammation and general feelings of ill health.
I also help people who want to live a healthy life but just don’t know what a healthy lifestyle looks like or how to start living in a healthier way. There is so much media information and misinformation on diet and lifestyle that sifting through it can be very time consuming and often disheartening. I help my clients to find their way to their own personal wellbeing plan.
Nutritional therapy perceives each client as an individual and all recommendations are fully personalised to the client’s unique physiology, medical history and environment. I review a client’s health, diet, lifestyle, circumstances and personality to uncover the underlying root cause of any ill health. A range of diagnostic tools and tests such as genetic tests from LifeCode GX, stool tests and specific functional testing may be employed if necessary.
I am also a qualified Health and Wellness Coach. This means that I blend my nutrition experience with the practical and effective skill-base of coaching to help clients make lasting lifestyle change. I use a systematic wellness and lifestyle coaching process, based on evidenced based behavioural change psychology, human motivation, cultural support and professional coaching competencies.
I am a member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). I have completed advanced training in nutrition for cancer and I am qualified to perform genetic testing for lifestyle purposes.
