Having felt the healing power of food first hand whilst suffering from fatigue and adrenal insufficiency, Andrea decided that she wanted to be able to support others on their journeys to wellness and so began four years of study. She graduated from the College of Naturopathic Medicine with a diploma in Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy.
She now provides help to clients with a variety of health concerns including fatigue and energy issues, cancer, digestive problems, menopause and hormonal imbalance, pain and inflammation and general feelings of ill health.
As a naturopathic practitioner Andrea regards each client as unique and reviews their health, diet, lifestyle, circumstances and personality to uncover the underlying cause of ill health. A range of diagnostic tools and tests may be employed if necessary.
Andrea is a qualified Health and Wellness Coach. This means that she blends her nutrition experience with the practical and effective skill-base of coaching to help her clients make lasting lifestyle change. She uses a systematic wellness and lifestyle coaching process, based on evidenced based behavioural change psychology, human motivation, cultural support and professional coaching competencies.
Andrea is also an Assistant Clinical Supervisor in student clinics at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in Bristol.
She is a member of the British Association of Nutritional Therapists (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). She has extra training in nutrition for cancer from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition.
